Once again I used paper piecing for the clothing and Pro markers to colour in.

I used Princess fairytale papers, wild orchid crafts flowers, Kanban sentiments, pearls, glitter
and stickles from stash.
The inside is decorated to match as is the box.

Hey Guys,

I have been really busy working the last couple of days so have been unable to post.
I hope you didn't miss me too much.

I just wanted to share a few Christmas cards I have made. These (and others) will be sold in aid of
The Douglas Macmillan coffee morning on the 28th Sept.

They were made using my new Lili of the valley stamps, Marianne creatables snowflakes,
Memory box border die, papers, gems, sentiments etc from stash.
Are any of you holding a coffee morning to raise funds for the charity?

Take care,

New Hat

Morning all,

Well it's the Bank holiday weekend and I don't know what the weather will be like but I do know
that I won't see much of it. I have two days of crafting ahead and then working the
rest of the holiday. I am sure I will be grateful on payday though.

Today's card was one for a challenge over on Love to create. The brief was Kraft, yellow and one other colour. I chose red.

The stamp is another from LOTV and is called New Hat. I have coloured in using Pro markers
and her clothes have lots of sparkle. Xmas red, stardust and frosted lace stickles.

The papers are Raspberry road, the little flower punch is from Tonic and ribbon and gems from stash.

I hope you like today's card. Please feel free to leave a comment and I will pop over and
visit your blog,

Baby boy

Hey Everyone,

I am hoping to make a serious amount of Christmas cards this weekend. I can feel September fast approaching and am afraid it's all going to be one mad rush.
For today though, we have a baby boy card. I have kept it pretty simple
as I wanted it to fit in an envelope and not a box.

The papers are First edition-Up,up and away. The image is from Pink gem designs  and I used my spellbinders circles and scalloped circles.
Gems and bow are from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated.

A little sideways view to show the layers.

Thanks for stopping by,

Busy bee

Hey Everyone,

I am sorry that I haven't posted for a couple of days.
I went back to work yesterday after my 17 days
leave and I have been rushed off my feet with last minute card orders.

Today I wanted to share my latest two cards. They are very different to each other. The first is a wedding card using my favourite Wedding Couple stamp from LOTV.

I coloured with Pro markers, used a LOTV circular sentiment and Spellbinders nesties to cut.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I got the embossed vellum, heart and butterfly from my local craft shop.

The second card was completely different to my usual style. The brief was shiny and blingy ...

I used my new Spellbinder dies Blossom tags and accents. You can't really tell from this pic but the layers are white pearl and silver mirri card. Decorated with hearts, gems and ribbon from stash.

I had better run now and get some more cards done,
Thanks for stopping by

Oh so girlie !

Hey  Everyone,

Today started off so well. I was up early expecting a heatwave (which never arrived) and pruned/ thinned the two large bamboo's at the bottom of the garden. It was quite a job and I had lots of spiders and earwigs dropping on me (gross). They look great now though even if I do say so myself.

I cooked Sunday dinner and then settled to watch a quick film before getting my craft on. Well that was the plan but I woke up 4 hours later on the sofa. Whoopsie!! So I never got a chance to make a card today but would like to share one that I recently made.

Its Pretty Bouquet from LOTV. I love this stamp. It's coloured with Pro markers and layered on to First edition Spring feast papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I used a Martha Stewart border punch/ Marianne creatables flourish and the flower ribbon and pearls were from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Lili's little fairies - Oh so girlie
J & C Creations - Anything goes

Thanks for looking,

A little kiss...

Hey Everyone,

I have managed to finish my card today. The image is "A little kiss" by s.w.a.l.k from Crafters Companion.
It is such a cute image and I can see tons of ways to use it for anniversaries and Valentines etc.

I have used an Eiffel tower die from Marianne creatables. A LOTV circular sentiment and my new Spellbinder dies (which I have yet to properly play with). The Papers are Raspberry road and were a freebie from Cardmaking and papercraft magazine.

You can see some of the layers from here, including the Martha Stewart punched branches and a cream cherry blossom and 5mm ivory rosebuds from WOC.

I coloured using my usual Pro markers but also paper pieced the clothes for a bit of texture. The bow and hearts have glossy accents and there is just a smidgen of stardust.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafters Companion - #27 Best friends
I <3 Pro markers - #130 Gardens (Its the garden of love-paris)
Charisma Cards - #32 Monochrome
The sketchy challenge - #30 Chantal's sketch
Just some lines - Layer it up

I hope you like today's card, Thanks for stopping by...

Just a little teaser...

Hey everyone,

So as I said earlier today, I was hoping to finish today's card. Unfortunately time just ran away with me so It is still un-stuck on the kitchen table. I have got most of the elements ready and with just a bit of tweaking in the morning it should be finished.

Now as the title suggests I thought I would leave you with a little teaser to keep you going...

Anyway, I am off now to finish watching CBB which I have paused. Enjoy the rest of your friday night,
love,

Past, present and future

Hey Everyone,

I didn't have a chance to post yesterday as I had a lot of jobs to do around the garden. I put the second coat of paint on the garden bench so that it didn't look out of place next to the new table and chairs. I also got some weeding done before nipping to the local farm to pick up some beautiful Violas.

I did manage to start my new book yesterday. It is "Apartment 16" by Adam Nevill. It's the second of his books that I have read and it is very good so far...this was my view when I was reading in the sunshine with a vodka cocktail :)

So just for a change today it is raining and to keep busy I have stamped a Crafter's companion image "A little kiss" from the Swalk series. I am going to make it into a 25th wedding anniversary card for an order. Hopefully I will post more pics later.
Bye for now,
Lou x

Rain, rain go away !

Hey everyone,

Today's weather was so much different than yesterdays. It rained all day and at one point I thought the garden was going to flood again :(

To brighten the mood a little I decided to make today's card using the pink and green challenge over at http://wildorchidchallenge
and also combine this with the sketch challenge over at

For this card I used 10mm pink tone roses and green cherry blossoms from
http://www.wildorchidcrafts.com/. Pretty Bouquet stamped image from http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/. I used a Martha Stewart branch punch, papers which were free gifts from a magazine, card stock and sentiment, gems and ribbon from stash. The image was coloured with Pro markers.

I pretty much stuck with the sketch from CLP #50 challenge.
I really enjoyed using the bright colours on such a dull day.

Bye for now
Love

Out with the old and in with the new

Hey everyone,

It's been a lovely day here in sunny Stoke. We had an early start as we had to be up and ready for the delivery of our new garden table and chairs. I absolutely love them...we have used them already for an impromptu bbq :)

When we went shopping for a parasol base I just nipped in to the craft shop and they had the Frostyville border that I have been after for weeks so obviously I had to get it...(and another) and when we got back my Amazon order arrived so I have more goodies to play with.

So my card for today is my first Christmas card using a Lili of the valley stamp (Together at Christmas).
It was coloured with promarkers and has Marianne creatables snowflake die cuts, red gems, xmas red stickles and papers and paper lace trim from stash.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges

(die cut/free/glitter)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will call again,

Getting ready for Christmas....in August :)

Hey everyone,

This is my first blog entry. I have never blogged before and am not really sure how it works but I am going to give it my best shot.

I wanted to start this so that I can enter competitions and maybe in the future start selling online as well as to family and friends.

This week I have been Christmas craft shopping.....Yes, you read that right Christmas in August. Its never too early as I have about 100 cards to make.
These were the items I purchased...some Lili of the valley stamps, card, pens and other things from Hobbycraft. I already did some colouring using my new Christmassy Promarkers. Anyway off I go now to make some cards in the Sunshine.
Thanks for stopping by
